ABOUT JOSEPH
- He was the eleventh son of Jacob and first biological Son of Rachael.
- His name means "Increase or Add to".
- He was the beloved son of his father, from his beloved Wife Rachael.
LESSONS
- Joseph was both loved and hated (Gen. 37:3, 4;). Jacob loved him but his brothers hated him.
- Joseph had to endure unpleasant circumstances.
- His ten brother hated him.
- He was sold into slavery
- He was wrongfully accused and cast into prison.
- Forced to live in a foreign country against his will.
- Joseph maintained his purity (Gen. 39:7-14)
- Joseph was blessed immensely (Gen. 39:2; 21:23; 49:22-26).
- Joseph was willing to forgive those who sinned against him (Gen. 45:5, 50:17).
- Joseph was able to turn prison into Palace (Gen. 45:5-8).
- Joseph showed tremendous faith in what the Lord said (Gen.50:24; 25)
ABOUT BENJAMIN
- Twelfth son of Jacob.
- Second son of Rachael.
- Originally his name was 'BENONI' - Son of my sorrows but his father called him 'BENJAMIN' - Son of my right hand or Son of righteousness
- His mother (Rachael) died at his birth. (Gen.35:16-21)

- Do not put your sorrows on your children, they did not choose to be born.
