Text: Matt. 5:14-17

Short Point: The entrance of thy word giveth light; it giveth understanding to the just.

Point 1: The word of God standing alone on it's own cannot affect the world. Someone must utilize it, use it, apply and appreciate it, that is why God in His word cries out in need of a man who would be his agent to actualize His plans; 2 Chor. 16:9, Matt. 9:37, Isaiah 6:8; Ezek. 22:30 - His plan is to save souls that are lost.

QUESTIONS

  1. How rich are you in the word of God?
  2. What is the volume of the word of God in you?
  3. What is the level of your oil cage in the side of God?

Answer it by yourself, and I will answer mine too.

Point 2:

  1. What then can make us to shine; the light is the word of God.
  2. How many word of God do you have in you?
  3. How can you shine a light when you do not know what is written?

Beloved brothers and sisters when Satan tempted Jesus, Jesus was always responding, "it is written" it is written for you and I to study the word, absorb the word and put it into practice to be approve by God. Beloved, in the time of Moses, he was given the rod with which he was using to do signs and wonders but now we don't need the rod for the greater works, what we need is the "word" of God in us.

Conclusion:
A child of God can be viewed as a container that carries goods for delivery; empty container can forever be packed out of use and soon rot away. Likewise for a child of God to affect the world, he/she must be rich in "God's word" and ready for delivery at any given time. Have this at the back of your mind that the expectations of the righteous can never be cut off in Jesus Name; Amen.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
